Overall Reflection

Hi pretty earthling

Now ,it was the end of third semester  . During this semester, i have took  Information and Communication Technology in Biology (TBC 3013)  subject that have been conducted by Dr Sophia. We learned about technology that have can be used during teaching and learning session in school. One of the task is doing this e-portfolio. 

During this ICT class, i gained a lot of knowledges that i never get before this. I realized that day by day, technology is very important to our life to survive in this world. Could you imagine what will happen for the next 20 years??ach school children mabye have their own laptop and no more whiteboard..maybe we will use smart board for teaching and learning session.

Actually, this is the first blog that i have ever create.  i do love blogwalking but i dont like writing. Trully from deep of my heart, when i have been given a task to create e-portfolio i feel it just give me a burden. But , now i feel like blog is the best medium to share our experiences and knowledge with other people.Now i'm very excited to explore more about blogging. Furthermore, it also help me to improve my  teaching and learning skill.

First day of ICT lectures, we have been introduced to Smart Board which is Interactive White Board. we learned how to use it. first time i saw it, i tought it just ordinary whiteboard. After we have been given a lectures, i couldn't imangine how amazing it works. We were compulsary to use IWB when doing our presentation.No more power point. It's provide touch control of computer applications and annotation over standard Microsoft Windows applications. I believed that IWB are able to attract student to give more attention.

Other than that, we also learned about Picasa and Cam Studio. This software are really helped me doing my e-portfolio. Through Picasa, i can edit my photos looks great. Picasa is one of the photo editing software.Before this i have been used Adobe Photoshop to edit my photos but it takes a long time and a lot of training to get a great pictures. Now, i 'm really enjoy in editing my photos. While Cam Studio is one of the software that help us in record all screen activity in our desktop. I can create a video tutorial and put it in my blog. 

I have been using data logger to do experiment. Recently my group used data logger to do experiment on abiotic component. We used humidity, light and temperature sensor. By using this, we get the accurate result and save our time. Data logger is also easy to handle. We also can plot the graph easily because we just transfer the data from the discovery to computer. Actually there are many type of sensor which are pH sensor, force sensor, DOB, gravity and many more.

As  science teacher wanna be, i believe that techonology are able to make teaching and learning session become more wonderful and meaningful. Can you imagine if our life without technology??Probably our life will be going topsy turvy. I believe that technology make our life more better and easier.
